Hans Ciresa (born February 24, 1886 in Bolzano ; † January 26, 1950 in Feldkirch ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and criminal district inspector. He was a city councilor in Feldkirch and from 1948 to 1949 a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Ciresa attended elementary school in Bolzano and then graduated from high school in Bolzano. He did his military and war service as a mate in the Navy in Pola and then became a police officer in Trento . As a result, Ciresa was transferred to the criminal police in Innsbruck , from 1913 he worked in the criminal service in Feldkirch. In November 1925, Ciresa was forced to retire for political reasons. During the Second World War he was used in the border service and promoted to the criminal district inspector. He was also employed as a construction worker secretary.

Politics and functions

Ciresa joined the SDAP on February 1, 1919 and worked from 1925 as a member of the Feldkirch city council, of which he was a member until 1934. He was also a member of the finance, personnel, building and public hall committee. From 1923 he was chairman of the Feldkirch tenant protection association and also active as chairman of Naturfreunde Feldkirch. Between 1925 and 1926 he was also involved as the hut warden of the Naturfreundehaus on the Vorderälpele. After the Second World War, Ciresa became a member of the provisional municipal committee and city council of Feldkirch, of which he was a member from July 1945 to January 26, 1950. As a city councilor, he led the housing department. As a trade unionist, he was active from 1945 to 1947 as chairman of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions of the State Executive Vorarlberg September, was chairman of the Socialist Trade Union Group (FSG) from 1945 and was a functionary of the timber and construction workers' union from 1945. He was also active as a member of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Labor from 1946 to 1949, where he was a member of the Social Policy Committee. Furthermore, in 1947 he was a member of the National Food Committee. As a member of the constituency of Feldkirch, he represented the SOÖ in the Vorarlberg state parliament from October 21, 1948 to October 24, 1949, succeeding Gebhard Grabher .

Private

Hans Ciresa was born as the son of the Merano building contractor Nikolaus Ciresa and his wife, who came from a farming family from the Non Valley. In 1912 he married Maria Gürtler (1884–1968) from Schwaz and had a daughter and two sons who were born in 1912, 1914 and 1916, respectively.
