Hans Dickel
Hans Dickel (born August 14, 1956 in Wuppertal ) is a German art historian .
Life
He studied art history and history in Tübingen and Hamburg ( doctorate 1985, habilitation 1996). He was an assistant at the Berlin University of the Arts (1988–1993), exhibition curator and visiting lecturer at Harvard , Kyoto , Minneapolis and Prague . He held the chair at the Art History Institute of the Free University of Berlin (1997–2002). Since 2002 he has been teaching as a professor for modern art history at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . In 2010 he did a research stay at Columbia University New York and in 2015 at the Institut national d'histoire de l'art, Bibliothèque Doucet, in Paris .
