Hans Engelhard (born December 23, 1925 in Osnabrück ) is a German internist and medical professional .

Hans Engelhard attended elementary school and high school in Limburg / Lahn. Attending school was interrupted by being called up for military service. Released from British captivity in the fall of 1945, he was first assigned to work by the American occupying forces. From December 1945 he attended the grammar school in Limburg / Lahn again, where he passed the Abitur in May 1946. From 1946 to 1951 Hans Engelhard studied medicine at the University of Frankfurt am Main ; After the state examination in 1951/52, he was awarded a doctorate in 1952 with a dissertation on 100 years of social hygiene in Frankfurt / Main (1850 to 1950). med. PhD.

After his compulsory assistantship in Frankfurt / Main and Dernbach / Westerwald, Hans Engelhard completed his internal training in Neuwied, Cloppenburg / Oldenburg and Koblenz. After being recognized as a specialist in internal medicine in 1957, Hans Engelhard worked as a doctor in social medicine at the Rhineland-Palatinate State Insurance Institute and later for further training in radiology in Neuwied. From 1959 to 1964 he was a senior physician at the Kemperhof Medical Clinic in Koblenz , later also at the radiological clinic of this hospital, and at the same time taught at the nursing school at the Koblenz hospital.

In 1965, Hans Engelhard set up his own practice as an internist in Koblenz. From 1986 to 1996 he was President of the Rhineland-Palatinate Medical Association.
