Hans Ferner

Hans Ferner (born December 23, 1928 in Malbergoft , Eifel district Bitburg-Prüm ; † October 3, 1982 in Alsdorf , Aachen district ) was a senior executive and politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from July 24, 1966 to July 25, 1970 and from May 28, 1975 to October 3, 1982 . Here he was u. a. active as chairman of the parliamentary committee for mine safety and chairman of the committee for mine safety.

Live and act

After attending elementary school and high school, Hans Ferner was trained as a telegraph craftsman and locksmith. He then took up a position as a manager. From 1971, he was director of human resources and social affairs at the Eschweiler mining association .

Hans Furthermore joined the SPD in 1953. Between 1967 and 1973 he was a member of the state committee of the SPD. From 1960 he was active in the sub-district executive committee of the SPD in the Aachen district, where he became chairman in 1980. He was also chairman of the local association of the SPD Alsdorf-Ost and on the city council of the SPD Alsdorf. Hans Ferner represented the SPD from 1958 to 1980 in the city council of Alsdorf, and from 1964 he was also a member of the district council of the SPD parliamentary group in the Aachen district, of which he was chairman from 1969 until his death.

The office of the SPD sub-district Aachen-Land at Willy-Brandt-Ring 1 in Alsdorf is to be renamed "Hans-Ferner-Haus" after him.
