Hans Franzen
Hans Franzen (born February 5, 1935 in Verl ; † September 17, 1993 in Zurich , Switzerland) was a German opera singer ( bass ).
Life
Franzen came from a merchant family and also learned the trade of textile merchant. He then began studying at the University of Cologne , moved to the University of Kiel and successfully completed it at the University of Mannheim .
In 1971 Hans Franzen sang together with Wolfgang Schöne at the Eutin Festival . Franzen made his debut as an opera singer in 1975 at the Zurich Opera House and stayed there for several years. In 1982 he moved to Berlin , where he became a member of the Komische Oper ensemble .
