Hans Friedrich Nissen

Hans Friedrich Nissen (born November 10, 1767 in Kiel , † July 4, 1848 in Segeberg ) was a Lutheran clergyman and provost in Segeberg.

Life

Nissen was born in Kiel as the son of Nicolaus Andreas Nissen and Katharine Friederike Müller. His father was a cavalry master, academic fencing master and fire director in Kiel.

He was married to Benedict Sophia Ernestine Fricke, daughter of Johann Heinrich Fricke , Professor jur. in Kiel and Anna Magdalena von Saldern .

After attending the school for scholars there, he studied theology and philology there since Easter 1785 with such success that after two years, in 1787, he was employed as a collaborator at the school there. 1789 Vice-Rector, theological examination in Glückstadt as the best of his year. May 24, 1790 election as pastor of the community of Sarau, inauguration on July 28, 1790. On June 21, 1801 he was elected pastor in Süsel, Amt Ahrensböck.

On February 22, 1820, the sovereign Hans Friedrich Nissen appointed provost of the Segeberg provost and chief pastor in the Holstein city of Segeberg. The introduction to this office took place on June 4, 1820. On March 9, 1846, at the age of 80, he retired after having been an official for almost 60 years.
