Johann Heinrich Fricke was born as the son of the typist and arithmetic master Johann Julius Fricke (born March 4, 1708 in Wolfenbüttel, † March 25, 1756 in Wolfenbüttel) and Anna Sophia Benedicta, née. Life

Fricke spent his school days in his hometown Wolfenbüttel. On April 9, 1758, he is enrolled in Helmstedt as a student. iur., from 1761 he continued his studies in Göttingen . On April 3, 1761, he also enrolls in the theological faculty in Göttingen, and on October 12, 1762, he becomes a stud theol. et phil. in Göttingen. There he later became Dr. iur. PhD. Fricke also began his professional life in Göttingen as a university actuary and since 1768 as a private lecturer. On April 13, 1770, he was appointed third full professor of law at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . He teaches legal history , institutions, pandects , imperial history, imperial process, canon law , German law and internship . In addition, together with Christian Cay Lorenz Hirschfeld and the orientalist Johann Ernst Faber (1746–1774), he published the “Kieler learned newspaper”. In August 1773 Johann Heinrich Fricke took the call as ord. Professor in Halle (Saale) .
