Hans Genberg

Hans Genberg (* 1948 in Örnsköldsvik ) is a Swedish economist.

Life

Genberg is Professor of International Economics at the Graduate Institute of International Studies and the International Center for Financial Asset Management and Engineering FAME in Geneva . After graduating from school in Sweden, Genberg studied in the USA, where he first received a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from Macalester College (St. Paul, Minnesota) and then a Masters and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. in economics.

Genberg was visiting professor at the Graduate Business School at the Universities of Chicago and Lausanne , and was a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank . From 1995 to 1998 he was director at the International Center for Monetary and Banking Center (ICMB) in Geneva.

He is married and has two grown children.
