Hans Harnys

Hans Harnys (born December 12, 1894 - † June 4, 1981 ) was a National Socialist functionary.

Hans Harnys joined the NSDAP ( membership number 503.299) and the SS (SS number 11.992) . In 1932 he became a Sturmbannführer. In 1933 he was appointed SS-Standartenführer and on April 20, 1934 he was promoted to SS-Oberführer . His last rank in the SS was brigade leader . This title was awarded to him on January 30, 1942.

From 1932 to 1934 he was in command of the 23rd SS Standard Oberschlesien, then he commanded SS Section XII until 1935, before moving to SS Section XVI. In 1937 Harnys became the inspector of the Fulda-Werra trunk division and from 1942 until the end of the Second World War he was in command of SS-Section XXVII (Fulda-Werra), based in Weimar .
