Hans Hedermann

Hans Hedermann (born December 14, 1897 in Wolmirstedt , † August 6, 1978 in Goslar ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Hedermann attended elementary school and then the teachers' seminar in Braunschweig . He was a war participant in the First World War and most recently a reserve officer. Between 1920 and 1923 he worked as a private tutor in Brazil and, on his return, attended the Technical University in Braunschweig from 1923 to 1925 in the subjects of education and economics. He then started working as a teacher.

After the seizure of power in 1933 he was arrested as Reichsbannerführer and 2nd chairman of the SPD Braunschweig-Stadt. This was followed by his discharge from school service. During the war he was employed first as a worker and later in a managerial position in the economy.

After the war, he was reinstated as a civil servant in 1945. In 1947 he resigned from civil service as a member of the government. Subsequently, he was Labor Director of the Harz and Unterharzer Berg- und Hüttenwerke.

Public offices

Hedermann was elected in the second electoral term to the state parliament of Lower Saxony from May 6, 1951 to May 5, 1955.
