Hans Hs Winkler

Hans Hs Winkler (actually Hans Winkler ; * 1955 in Rott am Inn ) is a German artist.

Life

Hans Hs Winkler has lived in Berlin since 1981. His main interest in his artistic work since 1984 is public space.

From 1988 to 2000 he worked with Stefan Micheel under the name pttred (paint the town red), among others on projects such as the urban space installations golden ratio , 1988-2000, or the red shift , 1989-1990, in Berlin.

His interventions, actions and projects are usually limited in time and are related to the environment, such as un incidente in gondola (Nuova Icona, Venice, 2002), granizza (Dialog Loci, Kostryzn, 2004) or the escape of Ötzi (Eurac, Museion , Bolzano, 2008),

Hans Winkler curated exhibitions such as legal / Illegal (2004) in the NGBK Berlin, together with Helen Adkins and Kai Bauer, or looking for mushrooms in the Cologne Museum Ludwig (2008) together with Barbara Engelbach and Friederike Wappler. Between 2005 and 2008 he published the walking newspaper in Istanbul, Johannesburg, New York, Havana, Bonn and San Francisco .
