Hans Huber (born January 1, 1934 ) is a former German amateur boxer from Wenzenbach near Regensburg.

In 1963, Huber took part in the European Championships in Moscow , where he was eliminated from the Soviet Union in the quarter-finals against Andrej Wasiljewitsch Abramow . In the same year he won the German heavyweight championship and was then nominated for the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo .

Huber was able to advance into the final in the Olympic boxing tournament with victories over the Pakistani Abdul Rehman and the Italian Giuseppe Ros , but lost there on points against the American Joe Frazier . On December 11, 1964, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf.

Hans Huber originally came from the wrestling camp. He was German runner-up in freestyle wrestling in the heavyweight division in 1956 and 1960 behind Wilfried Dietrich . Since he saw no chance of winning against Dietrich, who became Olympic champion in 1960 , he moved to the boxer camp in 1961.
