Hans Hugo Egert

Hans Hugo Egert (born March 4, 1921 in Neubrandenburg ; † May 2, 2016 in Krefeld ) was a German judge ( civil law ).

Egert received his doctorate in 1951 at the University of Cologne ("The retroactive effect of the permit"), he began his judicial activity in 1954 in Krefeld. In 1960 he was appealed to the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court, where ten years later he was appointed President of the Senate and took over the management of the 5th Civil Senate, which he retained until his retirement in 1986.

He dealt in particular with legal dogmatics and comparative law. In 1974 his monograph on legal conditions ("The legal condition in the system of civil law") appeared.
