Lieutenant General Mohammed Hamdan Daglo ( Arabic محمد حمدان دقلو; * 1974 or 1975 ; called among others Hemeti , Hamitti , Hemitti or Hemitte , Arabic حميدتي) is a Sudanese general and politician who has been Deputy President of the ruling military council under Abdel Fattah Burhan since April 13, 2019 . He has been in command of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since 2013 , which are held responsible for the dissolution of a protest camp with over 100 dead on June 3, 2019. Life

Shortly after joining the Military Council, he met with several Western ambassadors. In May 2019 he traveled to the Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammad bin Salman . Saudi Arabia had previously declared itself a supporter of the Sudanese military government. On June 3, the RSF broke violently on a protest camp, which for weeks before the headquarters of the military in Khartoum had insisted. According to the civilians, over 100 of them died. Numerous women were apparently raped by members of the RSF.

In August 2019, the military and opposition agreed on a joint government for the period up to 2022. Daglo is said to belong to the “Sovereign Council”, the highest body in the country. He stated that he wanted to submit to the agreement, according to which, among other things, the RSF are subordinate to the Sudanese army.
