1st Yugoslav Football League 1951

The 1st Yugoslav Football League in 1952 was the 23rd season of the highest Yugoslav division in men's football . It began on March 2, 1952 and ended on June 22, 1952.

The NK Hajduk Split got its fourth championship title with a total of 21 points, twelve of which could be taken from the preliminary group 2 and nine from the championship group. This year's cup winner was FK Partizan Belgrade .

mode

The twelve teams were divided into two preliminary round groups of six teams each. They initially played against each other twice over ten match days, divided into a first round and a second half.

The first and second of the two groups qualified for the championship round, the third and fourth played in the central group for the positions five to eight, and the two fifth and sixth of the preliminary group played in the relegation group, from which the last two were relegated.
