The 1st Yugoslav Football League 1981/82 was the 53rd season of the highest Yugoslav division in men's football . It began on July 26, 1981 and ended on May 2, 1982 because of the upcoming World Cup in Spain .

Dinamo Zagreb became Yugoslav champions for the ninth time. For the first time there was promoted FK Teteks Tetovo .
