The 1st Yugoslav Football League 1982/83 was the 54th season of the highest Yugoslav league in men's football . It began on August 15, 1982 and ended on June 26, 1983.

The FK Partizan Belgrade was the ninth time Yugoslav champion. For the first time there were the two promoted NK Dinamo Vinkovci and FK Galenika Zemun .
