1st Yugoslav Football League 1955/56

The 1st Yugoslav Football League 1956/57 was the 28th season of the highest Yugoslav division in men's football . It began on August 5, 1956 and ended on June 23, 1957.

Defending champion FK Roter Stern Belgrade became Yugoslav champions for the fourth time and took part in the European Cup. Half of the league, from eighth place downwards, fought relegation on the last matchday, from which FK Sarajevo and newly promoted Lokomotiva Zagreb were hit.
