Hans Jürgen Noss
Hans Jürgen Noss (born November 20, 1952 in Saarlouis ) is a German SPD politician and a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament .
Education, work and family
From 1967 to 1970 Noss completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk . In 1972 he began his military service and committed himself until 1983. In 1980, Noss acquired the advanced technical college entrance qualification on the second educational path. After serving in the armed forces, he worked for the Birkenfeld district administration until 1986 and at the same time studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration Rhineland-Palatinate (FHöV) in Mayen. After graduating with a degree in administrative management (FH) , he became a civil servant at the Birkenfeld municipal administration until 2003 .
Noss is widowed and has two children. His son Holger is an SPD member of the Birkenfeld community and, in contrast to his father, writes with ß.
politics
Noss has been a member of the SPD since 1969. From 1981 to 1994 he was chairman of the local SPD association in Birkenfeld. From 1986, Noss was also chairman of the SPD in the Birkenfeld community until 2003. From 2003 to 2019 he was district chairman of the SPD. After his re-election in 2017, Noss announced that he would no longer run for the district chairmanship of his party in 2019.
From 1979 to 1987 Noss was a member of the Birkenfeld City Council . From 1984 to 1987 he was also elected to the Birkenfeld municipal council. Since 1989 he has been a member of the Birkenfeld district council , where he has been chairman of the SPD parliamentary group since 1995. Since 2004, Noss has been a member of the Birkenfeld municipal council, where he chaired the parliamentary group in 2009/2010.
Since February 20, 2003, Noss has been a member of the Birkenfeld constituency (constituency 19) for the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament. He is a member of the Committee on European Affairs and One World and Committee on Home Affairs, Sport and National Planning. In addition, Noss is the domestic political spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.
Noss was also a member of the 14th and 16th Federal Assemblies for the election of the Federal President.
