Hans Jacob Hansteen

Hans Jacob Hansteen (born April 11, 1938 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian architect and monument conservator.

Hansteen graduated from the Norwegian Technical University in Trondheim in 1961 and taught there as a professor from 1977-95. 1993–2003 he worked as a monument conservator in Oslo . Hansteen also developed a wide-ranging writing activity and was active in a variety of public institutions and advisory boards. Its restoration and reconstruction work in the old were known Hanseviertel Bryggen of Bergen .
