Hans Jaquemar
Hans Jaquemar (born April 8, 1864 , † September 30, 1953 in Salzerbad near Kleinzell in Lower Austria) was a Protestant pastor and from 1912 head of the " Evangelical Central Association for Inner Mission ".
Life
Jaquemar came from a Huguenot family from Sedan who came to Vienna via Erlangen in 1779 because of persecution in France. Due to the tolerance patent of Emperor Joseph II from 1781, there was a certain freedom for Protestant communities.
He studied theology in Vienna and was first pastor in Laibach (then in Kronland Krain ) and from 1905 in St. Pölten . When the Evangelical Central Association for Inner Mission in Austria was founded on May 30, 1912, he was appointed General Secretary.
In 1936 he retired, which he spent in Mödling . His successor was Pastor Ernst Gottfried Meyer, who died unexpectedly in 1940. Erwin Konrad Schlachter, Rector of the Diakonissenanstalt Gallneukirchen, took over his task .
