Hans Josef Beuth
Hans Josef Beuth (born January 11, 1952 in Aachen ) is a German microbiologist , naturopath and complementary medicine specialist .
Career
1974-1977 Sports Beuth studied at the German Sports University in Cologne and English at the University of Cologne , then from 1977 to 1984 medicine at the University of Cologne, where he on statistical surveys and immune biological considerations for organotropy metastasis at Gerhard Uhlenbruck received his doctorate . Until 1986 he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Clinical Chemistry , after which he worked with a DFG research fellow at the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene on Cell Surface Molecules and Metastasis , where he then continued to work as a research assistant. He received his habilitation in 1991 with the topic The Importance of Lectins for Bacterial Infections and Tumor Metastases: Therapeutic Concepts for the Inhibition of Initial Pathomechanisms and from 1992 worked as a senior physician at the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene. From 1996 to 1999 he was deputy director of the institute. In 1999 he founded the institute for the scientific evaluation of naturopathic procedures at the University of Cologne and is its director to this day. Beuth has published several books and more than 160 peer-reviewed publications, particularly on complementary medical approaches in oncology . From 1999 to 2003 "Editor in Chief" of the German Journal for Oncology. He is the recipient of numerous medical prizes. Since 2008 volunteer work in the project Getting healthy together for breast cancer patients and their children of the Rexrodt von Fircks Foundation in Grömitz (Ostseedeich Clinic). In 2014 he founded the Jolly Beuth Foundation Help for Parents with Cancer and their Children and in 2017 he and Renan Demirkan initiated the Mulberry Time project .
Beuth lives and works in Cologne. He is married and has three children.
