Hans Künzle

Hans Künzle (* 1961 ) is a Swiss manager .

Life

Künzle studied at the University of Zurich Law and a doctorate. After a brief activity at the district court in Bülach , he started working for Winterthur Insurance in 1989 . From 1995 to 2004 he held various management positions in Switzerland and Europe. Among other things, he was CEO of Winterthur in the Czech Republic and responsible for mergers & acquisitions at group level. In 2004, he joined Nationale Suisse and on January 1, 2005, he became Chairman of the Executive Board.

Künzle is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss National Leben AG in Bottmingen and Europäische Reiseversicherungs AG in Basel . He is also on the board of the Swiss Insurance Association and the Board of Trustees of the Disability Foundation MyHandicap .

Nationale Suisse was taken over by Helvetia Insurance in 2014/2015 . Since then, Künzle has been a deputy on the Helvetia Board of Directors.
