Hans K. Wehren

Hans K. Wehren (born February 18, 1921 in Iserlohn as Hans Kaspar Wehren ; † April 17, 1988 in Iserlohn) was a German writer .

Life

Hans K. Wehren was the son of a machinist. From 1931 to 1935 he attended a middle school in Iserlohn. He then completed a commercial apprenticeship. From the end of 1939 he worked as an assistant at the tax office in his hometown. From 1941 to 1945 he took part in World War II as a soldier on the Eastern Front . After his release from British captivity , he returned to Iserlohn. From 1950 until his retirement he worked as a tax officer at the Iserlohn tax office.

Hans K. Wehren started writing early and has published his work in newspapers and magazines since the 1930s. His work consists mainly of poetry and, to a lesser extent, short prose. Although basically natural lyricist with a Christian attitude, he often contrasted conventional descriptions of nature and landscapes with images from the world of industry in his poems - in accordance with the program of Group 61 .

Hans K. Wehren belonged to the Ruhr-Mark authors 'circle , he was also a member of Group 61 since 1963 and of the European authors' association Die Kogge since 1970 . In 1976 he was awarded the Sauerland Tourist Association Prize and , in 1981, the Bad Salzig spa town's large silver coin .
