Hans Kolbe

Hans Kolbe (born January 20, 1927 in Wandsbek ; † November 2, 2013 in Hildesheim ) was a German entrepreneur.

In 1951 Kolbe founded the company Hans Kolbe & Co. in Hildesheim, which specializes in the production of communications technology . Under his leadership, production facilities were set up in Bad Salzdetfurth, Gittelde and Hildesheim and subsidiaries were founded in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Greece and Spain. After reunification, he had one of the most modern European printed circuit board plants built in Dresden.

Honors

  • 1991: Lower Saxony state medal
  • 1994: Honorary doctorate in computer science from the department of mathematics, computer science and natural sciences at the University of Hildesheim, in recognition and appreciation of his services to the progress of communications engineering and high-frequency technology, his successful implementation of scientific findings in industrial products and his constant promotion of research
