Hans Lehmann (politician)

Hans Lehmann (born March 7, 1901 in Berlin ; † June 1, 1976 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From January to July 1954 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After elementary school, Hans Lehmann attended secondary school up to the upper secondary level. After a short time as a guest student at the University of Berlin, he began an apprenticeship in the book trade in 1920. After completing his apprenticeship in 1923, he worked as a book trade assistant and continued his education at the Volkshochschule Berlin. Between 1928 and 1930 Lehmann was a board member of the Volkshochschule Berlin. From 1930 to 1932 he was the managing director of a publishing house. He was then unemployed until he started working as a chemical worker in 1934. In 1939 he became chief chemical officer.

Lehmann joined the SPD in 1924. In 1933 he was elected to the town council of Bad Dürrenberg , after the National Socialists came to power , the SPD was banned. Lehmann became a member of the SPD again in 1947, and in 1949 he became a member of the city council of Marl . In 1946 he became a member of IG Chemie . In 1947 he became chairman of the professional group foreman and member of the salaried department of the main board of the IG Chemie, from 1952 he was the second chairman of the professional group.

Lehmann moved up on January 7, 1954 for the SPD in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament, he was a member of parliament until the end of the second electoral period on July 4, 1954.
