Hans Luber (diver)
Hans Luber (born October 15, 1893 in Munich , † October 15, 1940 in Berlin ) was a German water diver who won the silver medal in artificial jumping at the Olympic Games in 1912 .
Luber started his career at the Munich swimming club , but then moved to Berlin, where he played for Poseidon Berlin . At the Olympic Games in 1912 , the German jumpers won all three medals: Paul Günther received gold ahead of Hans Luber and Kurt Behrens . The following year Luber won the German championship in jumping.
In the mid-1920s Luber returned as a jumper from the 10-meter tower, from 1925 to 1927 he won the German championship. In 1926 and 1927 he won the European Championship.
Luber was a physical education teacher at the Berlin electricity works and taught at the Berlin University of Physical Exercise. In 1914 he published the book The Swimming Sport .
