Hans Matthison-Hansen (born as Hans Matthias Hansen ; born February 6, 1807 in Flensburg , † January 7, 1890 in Roskilde ) was a Danish organist and composer . He was the father of Gottfred Matthison-Hansen .

Life

Matthison-Hansen studied music in Copenhagen and worked as organist at Roskilde Cathedral from 1832 until his death . In addition to preludes and postludes, sonatas, chorale arrangements and fantasies for the organ, he composed an oratorio ( Johannes ), psalms with orchestral accompaniment and church cantatas.
