Hans Moldenhauer (tennis player)

Hans Moldenhauer (born April 10, 1901 , † December 29, 1929 ) was a German tennis player .

Along with Daniel Prenn, he was one of the best German tennis players of the 1920s and played 22 times for Germany in 1927, 1928 and 1929 in the Davis Cup . He won 11 games in singles and 3 games in doubles.

In 1926 and 1927 he became the “ international German tennis champion ” through victories against Walter Dessart and Willy Hannemann . In 1928 he lost in the final against Daniel Prenn. With Cilly Aussem he became German mixed champion in 1925.

Moldenhauer played for SV Zehlendorfer Wespen and LTTC Rot-Weiß Berlin .

He died in a car accident in late 1929 when he collided with a tram. His grave is on the south-west cemetery in Stahnsdorf .
