Hans Prince
Hans Prinz (born December 1, 1907 , † January 8, 1978 ) was a German electrical engineer.
He had worked at Siemens-Schuckert in Nuremberg. After the Second World War he was appointed to the provisional position at the Technical University of Munich , began a reorientation of the Institute for High Voltage and Plant Engineering and in 1950 planned a new institute on the north site. The concept of the high-voltage hall was later adopted by other institutes.
1951–53 he devoted himself to building up the heavy current technology department at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. The high-voltage and lightning system was created under his leadership.
The ETH Zurich awarded him an honorary doctorate.
