Hans Rainsperg

Hans Rainsperg (also Hans Rainsberg ; * 1480 in St. Gallen ; † 1548 ibid) was a mayor of St. Gallen ( Switzerland ).

Life

Hans Rainsperg was born as the son of his father of the same name, Hans Rainsperg, guild master, mayor and Reichsvogt.

He was a member of the shoemaker's guild, from 1515 to 1517 Elfer and from 1518 to 1530 guild master.

In 1503 he was city ​​judge , in 1517 court judge and in 1520 fire showers (control person in fire protection); in the period from 1524 to 1531 he was sub-mayor and from 1531 to 1548 every three years mayor , former mayor and imperial bailiff ; he shared the office with Joachim Vadian and Ambrosius Schlumpf and from 1542 with Hans Studer.

Hans Rainsperg was married.
