Hans Reicher
Johannes (Hans) Reicher (born July 2, 1895 in Berlin-Niederschönhausen ; † January 30, 1963 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) was a German-Dutch sculptor .
life and work
Reicher completed an apprenticeship at the Berlin University of the Arts . At the age of 20 he moved to the Netherlands, where he lived and worked in The Hague . In early 1937 he became a lecturer at the Hendrick de Keyzerschool in Amsterdam . He lived for a while with the sculptor Hubert van Lith . After the Second World War , he created sculptural war memorials, among other things. He mainly created figurative art .
