Hans Roth (astronomer)
Hans Roth (* 1945 ) is a Swiss amateur astronomer . He is vice president and press spokesman for the Swiss Astronomical Society (SAG). He became known in astronomy for the astronomical yearbook “ Der Sternenhimmel ”, on which he has been co-author since 1986 and since 1998 sole editor.
Roth maintains a private observatory in Schönenwerd . He was a high school teacher at the canton school in Olten and taught mathematics and physics . As a member of the SAG, he regularly gives astronomical lectures, including at the Aarau public observatory .
