Hans Sauer (politician, 1908)

Hans Sauer (born April 19, 1908 in Schweinfurt , † September 21, 1966 in Niederwerrn ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1954 to 1962 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Life

After primary school, Sauer completed an apprenticeship in 1922 and attended a trade school. He worked in the metal industry for 18 years, joined the trade union and after 1945 was a representative of IG Metall in Schweinfurt. In addition to his job as a trade union official, he was involved in the workers' welfare and was deputy chairman of the AWO Schweinfurt.

Sauer was deputy chairman of the SPD district association in Schweinfurt. In the state elections in 1954 and 1958 he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament, of which he was a member until 1962. In parliament he was from January 1955 to 1958 a member of the committee for affairs of displaced persons and victims of war and from 1958 to 1962 a member of the committee for questions of civil service law and pay.
