Hans Schmidt (politician, 1886)

Johann (Hans) Schmidt (born May 16, 1886 in Neisse ; † November 24, 1942 in Herten ) was a German tailor and politician ( SPD ).

Schmidt, who was a Catholic denomination, attended elementary school. He then did an apprenticeship as a tailor and worked as a tailor's assistant.

He joined the SPD and became a community representative in Herten, a member of the district council and the district committee Recklinghausen and the district committee Münster. In April 1920 he became an alderman for the Recklinghausen district.

From 1919 to 1833 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia. From February 1826 to April 1933 he was a member of the Prussian State Council . In 1933 he became a deputy member of the State Council.
