Hans Sebastian Nikolai

Hans Sebastian Nikolai , also Hans Bast Nicolai or Hans Bast for short (* probably 1735 in the Kondelwald ; † 1801 in Koblenz ). Hans Bast Nicolai stood out because of his height of 192 cm and was a blacksmith from the Kondelwald and also served as a grenadier and guardsman. He was accused of raiding the Sprinker Mill in August 1796, killing the miller, his wife and two of their children. Nicolai was arrested in August 1800 and executed a year later.
