The Kondelwald , also called Kondel , in the Rhineland-Palatinate districts of Bernkastel-Wittlich and Cochem-Zell is about 2,500 hectares in size and at a maximum of 477.5  m above sea level. NHN high part of the East Eifel belonging Moseleifel . It used to belong to the Kröver Empire .

Springiersbach Abbey

The Kondelwald is located east-northeast of Wittlich between the local community Bengel on the Moselle tributary Alf in the south and Bad Bertrich on the Alf tributary Üßbach in the north. Its highest point is between Bengel and the Hontheim district of Bonsbeuren about 750 m (as the crow flies ) west of the Waidmannsheil  hunting lodge on the Reudelheck near the connecting road Bengel – Bonsbeuren ( district roads 35 and 9) ; near this point there is a 77 m high transmission tower ( ). The Springiersbach monastery is located near the urchin to the south .

In Handbook of the Natural Region Divisions of Germany the Kondelwald forms in the 27 main unit group Osteifel and in the main unit 270 Moseleifel subunit 270.2.
