Hans Treschwig

Hans Treschwig (born December 9, 1932 ) is a German stenographer .

Life

He worked as a parliamentary stenographer in the German Bundestag from 1954 to December 31, 1997. In addition, he worked as a stenographer in several state parliaments, in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and in the meetings of the CSCE in Helsinki .

In retirement, he has realized the desire, the German unit of shorthand to explore linguistically intensive. He has made a name for himself as a proven expert on this system and as a long-standing member of the system committee of the German Stenographers Association, as well as through relevant publications.

At the University of Bonn , he studied general linguistics, English and educational science and acquired the scientific tools in these subjects. He completed his studies in 2007 with the academic degree “Magister Artium” (MA). His master's thesis was entitled: "Ambiguity in shorthand: Attempting a linguistic analysis". This was his second degree. He completed his first degree in the 1950s and graduated in 1957 with the academic degree of "Diplom Volkswirt". He is working on a reform document for the German standard shorthand , the " Bonn Draft ".
