Hans van Hooft
Hans van Hooft (born November 25, 1941 in Kerkdriel , Netherlands ) is a Dutch politician of the Socialist Party .
Life
From October 1971 to May 1988 Hooft was party leader of the Socialist Partij. He was followed in office as party chairman Jan Marijnisse . From 1976 to 2002 Hooft was a member of the Nijmegen City Council . Hooft was a member of the Second Chamber of the States General from 1994 to 2002 . From 2002 to 2010 Hooft was head of department in Nijmegen. His son Hans van Hooft, junior , works as a politician for the Socialist Party on the city council of Nijmegen.
