Hans von Tettenborn

Hans von Tettenborn (* 1708 ; † October 24, 1779 in Königsberg ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and chief of infantry regiment No. 11 .

He came from the noble family von Tettenborn and was the son of the Prussian lieutenant Hans von Tettenborn , heir to Tettenborn, and Marta Johannette Charlotte Wagner von Carlsburg (* 1686; † 13 May 1762) from Saxony.

Life

He was a lieutenant in the body regiment of Friedrich Wilhelm I. When Friedrich II became king in 1740 , he was transferred to the first battalion of the new body guard as a staff captain in August. He fought with it on April 10, 1741 in the Battle of Mollwitz . Then also in the Second Silesian War . In 1745 he was sent to the empire on advertising. On July 20, 1745 he was made Premier-Lieutenant and on October 27, 1745 Captain of the Staff. On September 1, 1755 he was transferred to the Infantry Regiment No. 46 (Neuwied) as a lieutenant colonel , where he became a colonel in December 1758 and major general in 1760. He was wounded in the battle of Torgau . In 1763 he was given the 19 Infantry Regiment (Friedrich von Braunschweig). In October of that year, however, he was transferred to Regiment No. 11 (von Rebentisch). In 1774 he was made lieutenant general. In 1776, after 50 years of service, he retired with a pension of 1,500 thalers. He died of a stroke on October 24, 1779 in Königsberg.
