The CZ 805 BREN is a gas pressure charger with a rotating head lock. There are two versions (A1 and A2). Both are equipped with several Picatinny rails and a foldable shoulder rest. The two versions differ in their barrel length, the CZ 805 A1 has a 360 mm barrel, while the barrel of the A2 is only 277 mm long. All important controls of the weapon can be operated from the right or left. Further features of the weapon are transparent magazines, a two-shot burst and the possibility of using M16 or M4 magazines. It is possible to integrate the 6.8 mm Remington SPC caliber later in addition to the intended ones . The Czech Armed Forces have selected this weapon as their new service weapon. The weapon can be equipped with a 40 mm grenade launcher .
