The living / studio building Hansastraße 1 is in the district Bettrath-Hoven in Mönchengladbach ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ).
The building was added to the existing school building in 1867 as an extension of a school. It was entered under No. H 047 on August 30, 1988 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
The former school building is a three-part brick building facing the eaves , which was built in three phases. The oldest building section is the middle wing ( Hansastraße 3 ), which was built in 1836 and 1879 , to which a two-story building ( Hansastraße 5 ) was added in 1858 . The third extension (Hansastraße 1) followed in 1867 to the left of the main building.
Contemporary extension of a rural elementary school building with a simple design characteristic of the time it was built, in which part of the local history materializes. Protection is therefore in the public interest.
