The Hanson Spur is a 2 km long and flattened mountain ridge in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain , it extends from Mount Falla in a north-westerly direction.

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1995 after the geologist Richard E. Hanson of Ohio State University , who carried out field research in the area between 1990 and 1991.
