Harald Endre Thingnes (born February 16, 1969 in Sunnmøre ) is a Norwegian journalist , sports commentator and television presenter.

Life

He is employed by Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) and reported, among other things, from the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and the 2011 Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo . He is also, among other things regularly at Athletics -Meeting Bislett Games on site and, with number 1 own entertainment show in television NRK1 and NRK2 . On April 28, 2011, Thingnes was awarded the Alf Helleviks Mediemålspris by the publishing house Det Norske Samlaget , which specializes in Nynorsk publications . The jury wanted to honor his commitment to this official standard variant of the Norwegian language , which is preferred only by a minority and whose use in journalistic activities has become rare.

Through his sister Aslaug Hildegunn Thingnes Bø (* 1957) he is also the uncle of the two biathletes Johannes Thingnes Bø and Tarjei Bø . He lives in the Risløkka district of Oslo .
