Harald Heker

Harald G. Heker (born March 1, 1958 in Essen ) is a German lawyer, manager and CEO of GEMA .

Life

Harald Heker studied law in Munich and did his doctorate at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau .

From 1988 to 1990 Harald Heker worked as a lawyer and managing director of the Institute for Copyright and Media Law in Munich . From 1990 to 2000 he worked as a legal advisor of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels and was co-managing director of the Ausstellungs- und Messe GmbH of the Börsenverein. Between 2001 and 2005 he took over the position of general manager of the Börsenverein and from 2003 was also the spokesman for the management of Börsenverein Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH.

The Executive Board of GEMA belongs to Heker since of 2006. He has held the position of CEO since 2007.
