Harald Reiner Gratz (* 1962 in Schnellbach ) is a German artist.

Life

Harald Reiner Gratz was born in Schnellbach in Thuringia in 1962. In 1981 he passed the Abitur in Schmalkalden. From 1985 to 1988 he studied at the HfKD Burg Giebichenstein in Halle, in 1989 he studied painting and graphics at the Dresden University of Fine Arts with Professors Hubertus Giebe and Werner Liebmann , which he graduated with a diploma in 1991. In 1996 he was a guest artist at the Villa Romana in Florence, in 1997 he was nominated by the State of Thuringia for the final selection of the competition for the Villa-Massimo Prize. In 2000 he worked in his own studio in New York. In 2005 a comprehensive catalog of works was created. In 2006, Gratz designed the DKB Berlin and the Werragas building in Bad Salzungen. In 2007 he designed art concepts for the Olympic Village in Berlin and the Schmalkalden district hospital and was curator of the Brandenburg Art Summer in the Liebenberg Palace and Museum.
