Amiruddin Sharifi (also Amruddin or Amredin ; born July 2, 1992 in Tehran , Iran ) is an Afghan football player . He has been playing for the Kyrgyz first division club Alai Osch since 2018 and is the current Afghan national player .

Career

Sharifi was born to Afghan refugees in the Iranian capital Tehran . As a child he moved back home with his family. He began his career in the Kabul Premier League with Esteghlal Kabul. In 2013 he moved to Big Bear FC and became the Kabul champions. For the 2013 season, the striker started with Shaheen Asmayee in the Afghan Premier League and was instant champion. The title was defended in 2014; he achieved five goals in five games. In 2015 he was back in the Falcon squad , but was not used; the season ended as runner-up. In 2016 Sharifi was again the Afghan champion. He prevailed again as a regular player; in six games he scored six goals, making him top scorer for the first time.

With Shaheen Asmayee, Sharifi was the first club from Afghanistan to play in an international tournament; he was used in both qualifying games against Hosilot FC ; ultimately the qualification did not succeed (0: 1, 0: 0). He also played at the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup in February 2017 , where he was the top scorer with four goals. In 2018 he became the first Afghan to move to the Kyrgyz top league to Alai Osch .

National team

Sharifi made his debut for the Afghan national team on March 2, 2013 in the 1-0 win against Sri Lanka in the 2015 Asian Cup qualifiers. He was in the final squad for the national team for the 2013 South Asian Cup . During the tournament he was used twice; in the end they became South Asian champions for the first time after beating India 2-0 in the final .
