Harald Schramm (born November 26, 1946 ) is a former German soccer player who played between 1973 and 1975 for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of GDR soccer .

Athletic career

Harald Schramm played for the company sports association (BSG) Motor Altenburg until he was a junior . In 1964 he moved to the GDR league club BSG Wismut Gera , but was mainly used in the 2nd team, which played in the third-rate district league. Only in the 1965/66 season he worked in a GDR league game of the BSG Wismut.

For the 1966/67 season Schramm moved to the GDR league club BSG Chemie Zeitz . There, too, he was initially only called up in the district league team Chemistry Zeitz II before he made the breakthrough in 1967/68, was used in 16 of the 30 GDR league games and was successful with six goals. In the season 1968/69 he belonged with 23 missions to the player base of the GDR league team and was again on the scorers list with four hits. Since Chemie Zeitz had to relegate at the end of the season, Schramm played in the district league again for the next two seasons. When the Zeitzer played again in the GDR league in 1971/72, Schramm was not part of the squad. It was not until 1972/73 that he was able to play again in the GDR league for BSG Chemie. With 21 appearances in 22 games and as the top scorer in the season with 14 goals, he became the most successful player on his team.

His successful season helped Schramm to move to the top division FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the summer of 1973. He came there in the 1973/74 season but not beyond the status of a substitute player. In his eleven league appearances in 26 league games, he was only five times as a striker in the starting eleven and did not score a goal. Although he was also in the league squad for 1974/75, Schramm only came on once as a substitute for 21 minutes in the league. Instead, he was used in all 22 point games of the 2nd team in the GDR league. Also for the 1975/76 season Schramm was named as a league player, did not play there and returned to the 2nd team, which had been relegated to the district league. There was no return to higher-class football for Schramm.
