Harald Seiz

Harald Konstantin Seiz (born 1963 in Calw , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German entrepreneur , speaker and author on the subject of finance .

Life

Harald Seiz began his entrepreneurial career as a vacuum cleaner representative. In 2004 he set up the internet auction platform cent-house.de, which was based on a network marketing system and was insolvent after just a few weeks.

In 2011, Seiz founded Karatbars International GmbH based in Stuttgart. With the carat gold Coin Seiz has one of the first crypto currencies created whose value is linked to the price of gold. Parallel to his entrepreneurial preoccupation with cryptocurrencies, Seiz is an advocate of the sustainability of gold as a means of payment.

In 2015, Seiz traveled to the southern Chinese province of Guangdong with a political delegation led by Lothar de Maizière and Joschka Fischer to present his company to the responsible bodies there. In the same year Seiz became a senator of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA).

In 2019, the public prosecutor launched an investigation against Seiz on suspicion of commercial fraud in connection with the two cryptocurrencies he had issued. In November 2019, BaFin prohibited the continuation of business activities and ordered the reversal of the crypto currencies.
