Francesco Motta

Francesco Motta (born October 10, 1986 in Pisa ), mostly simply Motta , is an Italian cantautore .

Career

Motta began his career in 2006 within the band Criminal Jokers , with whom he released two albums until 2012. He also worked with a number of other musicians, including Nada . In 2013 he moved to Rome and began studying film music at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia with Ludovic Bource . After a few soundtracks , Motta finally released his first solo album La fine dei vent'anni in 2016 , in collaboration with Riccardo Sinigallia . This was awarded the Targa Tenco as best debut album in 2016.

Motta's second album Vivere o morire was released in 2018 on the Sugar Music label by Caterina Caselli . This brought the Cantautore the Targa Tenco for the album of the year. The following year he took part in the Sanremo Festival with Dov'è l'Italia .
